Fairs of Public-Private Partnership were organized for the first time in Plock. Prepared by AGERON Policy of Economic Development of Plock until 2022 will shape future of the city in the next years. Document was created in order to indicate potential and new directions of development, it also outlines expected results. It was created based on opinions of local entrepreneurs, representatives of the biggest companies, interviews with investors in the whole country, analysis of the city’ resources and audit of investment territories.
Above all we should increase investment attractiveness of Plock through expanding infrastructure, especially beltways and on regional level railway infrastructure. Investment offer should be expanded with new territories. In the promotional activities we should focus on following sectors: chemical, touristic, construction, logistics, engineering services for industry and food processing. We can’t forget about local entrepreneurs, their competitiveness on external markets should be supported and new terrains for expansion should be indicated. The city ought to strengthen cooperation with big enterprises as well and as a result promote Plock’s model of social responsibility of business. Some actions were already taken, but they should have wider scope – thinks Michal Zielinski from AGERON Polska. – The emphasis should be also put on developing weekend and business tourism. Plock with its attractions should be more recognizable on the map of Poland. It is also necessary to create better conditions for professional development of people living in Plock to stop migration to Warsaw and strengthen feeling of identifying themselves with the city. It could be achieved through among others activities promoting entrepreneurship among the youngest city’s inhabitants and through making the old town culturally and socially more lively – he adds.
