Portuguese week “Flavours of Portugal” – Portuguese Wine & Food Fair
AGERON Poland on behalf of the Polish-Portuguese Commercial Chamber coorganized the event: Portuguese week “Flavours of Portugal” – Portuguese Wine Food & Fair.
The event took place on May 25-30 in Warsaw (Intercontinental Hotel). Individual companies: food, beverages and wine producers, and a special guest ? Portuguese Foods, the biggest agency of food producers in Portugal, came to Poland on this occasion. Portugal Foods ensures a dynamic development of the sector in Portugal and promotes its positive image abroad. The agency examines attractive sales markets and introduces Portuguese products to commercial networks all over the world. It also represents over 100 food producers in Portugal.
As a part of Portuguese week many exhibitions and tastings were held. The guests had a chance to get to know better Portuguese culture and the country?s touristic offer. It was a business event, too. The representatives of the Portuguese producers, seeking opportunities to enter the Polish market or to extend their economic activity here, attended a series of business meetings with Polish distributors and importers including FMCG, one of the biggest companies on Polish market. Thanks to an extensive information company in the media, it was a very popular event among Polish potential business partners.
We hope the meetings resulted beneficial to both Polish and Portuguese businessmen.
Vitafoods 2015 trade fair

The fair lasted from 5th to 7th of May, 2015 and 6 Polish pharmaceutical companies exhibited their products at Polish National Pavilon. Until now, the visits have been organized within Sector Promotion Programme for Polish Biotech and Pharma. This year, making the most of our experience, we organized the visit again, although this time outside the programme. Polish companies were eager to take part in the event due to its measureable effects ? every year more and more companies are participating in the fair.
Vitafoods and Finished Products gather annualy more than 500 raw materials suppliers, functional foods and diet supplements producers. Participants from 92 countries have the opportunity to exchange their knowledge and experience at conferences and discussion panels held at the fair.
Thanks to Polish National Pavilon, the exhibitors reduce the costs substantially and save their time, as we prepare the stands for them. We provide our clients with:
- stand project and construction;
- exhibition material transport;
- graphics preparation;
- help in legal aspects ? registration of company and its employees.
This year Polish exhibitors could get a refund of their participation in Vitafoods and Finished Products. Thanks to Polish Ministry of Economy, companies got a partial refund of the costs of stand organization and business meetings at the fair. Ageron Poland as Project Coordinator was responsible for all legal aspects of the visit and thanks to its commitment, Polish exhibitors could obtain their refund.
Both the number of visitors and business meetings were more than satisfying to Polish exhibitors. A part of them is already preparing for the next edition (2016), and so is Ageron Poland, who will again be in charge of Polish National Pavilon organization!

On the basis of the research run, we have prepared the investment attractiveness and adoptive indicators and the resultant indicator of the economic competitiveness that constitutes the sum of two previous indicators.
The attractiveness indicator involves the assessment of public transportation availability, the size of labor market, availability of investment grounds and business surrounding characteristics. When it comes to the adoptive indicator, we analyzed the economic and investment dynamics and the dynamic of labor market.
The research resulted in developing ranking of the economic competitiveness of the cities in Lodz Voivodeship. Strykow, Lodz and Rzgow proved to be the most economically competitive cities, Lodz was identified as the city with the highest investment attractiveness and Strykow as the city with the best economic adoptive indicator.
